Sunday 17th April and we were walking for the day. Starting from the National Trust car park which was situated just off the A38 a little past Sidcot, it was an amazing walk with amazing weather. Click here for link to map etc., In fact the weather has been unseasonably warm now for a week or so and is not expected to change, even over the Easter Bank Holiday. Will we pay for this later?
Sunday, 3rd April and feeling very content and relaxed after a wonderful day at the Bristol Convention. Held at the Badminton School on the Downs in Bristol, the one day convention is an annual event and a great opportunity for me to meet up with friends I haven't seen since the last Convention.
Monday, 4th April. Finally got round to speaking to my boss about my hours of work. From 1st August 2011 I am working a three day week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This is me winding down ready for retirement next March. I'm so looking forward to a four day weekend, perhaps now some of those "round to it" jobs at home will get done.
Saturday, 8th April, going down to Fivehead village hall to see Matt Harvey.
Wonderful evening. It started as a beautiful day. A Summers day in April. Clear blue skies and little wind made for quite a hot day. We spent a good part of the morning at Cadbury Garden Centre where they have a shoe shop and a chiropodist and Win made use of both. The rest of the day was taken up getting the caravan ready for its first outing of the year at Easter.
Matt was brilliant as always despite a reduced audience. The village hall soon reverberated to the sound of laughter as the good people of Fivehead heard Matt's humour for the first time.
